IONA COLLEGE – East Hall Residence Hall

Darlind was selected as the design build contractor for this new 115 bed residence hall for Iona College.

Early concepts included the renovation of the existing Walsh Hall from an academic building to a residence hall but the decision was made to remove the old building and construct a larger structure with a more efficient design in it’s place. The building was designed and permitted during the winter months and the construction phase was completed in 5 ½ months starting in the spring.

The building was constructed as a structural steel and concrete modular structure with a laid brick and precast block exterior and designed to fit with the existing architecture on campus.
