Darlind has been awarded the kitchen upgrade and renovation project at Woodbourne Correctional Facility.
The project must be undertaken with the facilities kitchen up and running. To accomplish this, the project will have to be constructed in four (4) phases.
Phase one consists of the demolition and reconstruction of a portion of the kitchen area and construction of a temporary kitchen.
Phase two includes new walls, floor, ceiling, coolers, and numerous pieces of new kitchen equipment to support the kitchen operation.
Phase three is the removal of the dishwashing area and replacing it with a new area including a new dishwasher.
Phase four is the removal of the temporary kitchen area and installing walk in coolers and freezers.
All work requires strict coordination with the prison guards and kitchen staff. All material and work areas must be made secure at all times and during all phases of construction.
